This Privacy Policy explains how MeetIQ collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our application.
Your meeting is transcribed either on your device or, for some meetings, on our servers using Google Cloud Speech-to-Text. When server-side transcription is used, your audio recording is sent to Google Cloud Speech-to-Text to convert it into text. The resulting transcript text is then sent to our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude), to generate summaries, key points, and action items, and to answer questions you ask in Chat. Data is sent to these third-party AI services only after you explicitly agree in the app. The app shows an in-app disclosure stating exactly what is sent and to whom, and nothing is sent unless you consent. You can review or withdraw this consent at any time in Settings → Data & Privacy.
Per Anthropic's Commercial Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, transcript text sent to their API is not used to train their models and is retained only as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. Likewise, audio sent to Google Cloud Speech-to-Text is processed only to return the transcription and is not used to train Google's models — protections equivalent to those described in this policy.
We do not sell your meeting content or personal information to advertisers or third parties.
AI-generated outputs may occasionally contain inaccuracies. Users are responsible for reviewing important meeting information.
If cloud sync features are enabled, your meeting data may be securely stored and synchronized across your devices. Cloud sync moves data only between your own devices. The one feature that shares anything with another person is Assigning Tasks, described below, and it only ever sends what you choose to send.
You can delete your meetings and exported content at any time from within the app.
You can assign an action item to someone else by entering their email address. This is the only feature that sends any of your information to another person's account, and it happens only when you choose to assign something. Before anything is sent, the app shows you a preview of exactly what they will receive.
What the other person receives:
Your recording, transcript, summary, key points, and chat history are never sent. The other person cannot open the meeting, and receives nothing about it beyond its title.
What you receive: the email address you entered is stored with the assignment so the task can be delivered and so you can see who it is with. You are told whether the assignment reached an existing account, and you are notified when that person marks the task complete. If they have set a name on their account, you see that name; otherwise you see the email address you yourself entered.
Both people are sent a notification about the assignment and its completion. The notification contains the action item text and the sender's name.
Removing an assignment. You can take back a task you assigned, or reassign it to someone else, at any time from the meeting. Taking it back removes it from their list. Deleting your account removes every assignment you have sent and every assignment you have received, in both directions.
Assignments are kept until they are taken back or one of the two accounts is deleted. They are not used for any purpose other than delivering the task, and they are never sent to advertisers or used to train AI models.
We collect crash reports and basic diagnostic information (via Firebase Crashlytics) to fix bugs and improve app stability.
We do not use advertising or usage-analytics services, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. We do not collect your transcript or meeting content for diagnostic purposes.
Subscription purchases are securely processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not directly store your payment card information.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information using modern security and privacy practices. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

The application is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the application after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
